About the event

The NFA again this year is running this popular event for new and relatively new board members who would like to be informed about the national perspective to supplement the specific local training they receive from their ALMOs. It will set the scene on the background and current context for the sector as a whole, identifying some of the key issues facing ALMOs today in terms of policy, welfare reform, relations with councils, and governance. It will help board members understand the history of the sector and what their responsibilities as ALMO directors are. The event will also explain what the NFA does on behalf of the ALMO sector and the services that it provides. And of course it will be a great opportunity for new board members to meet and network with ALMO colleagues.
