    Managing director

    Eamon has over 35 years experience in housing management having started his career at the Greater London Council in 1977 as a management trainee. He then worked for the London Boroughs of Brent, Hillingdon and Barnet before joining Islington in June 1998.

    Eamon was appointed chief executive of Homes for Islington in 2004 and retained that position until the ALMO was re-integrated into Islington Council in March 2012. During his tenure, Homes for Islington achieved ‘3 stars with excellent prospects for improvement’ from the Audit Commission, completed a £650 million Decent Homes Programme and increased tenant satisfaction from 50 to 72 per cent.

    Eamon is now an independent consultant and is currently managing director of the National Federation of ALMOs. He is also a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Housing and the Institute of Management.

    Policy director

    Chloe has worked in the social housing sector for 16 years since her first role in housing management with JSS Pinnacle (now Pinnacle PSG) as a trainee housing officer. While working for Pinnacle she completed a housing masters and diploma at The London School of Economics. In 2000 she moved into affordable housing and housing finance policy working on behalf of the London boroughs, initially for London Housing Unit and then as head of affordable housing and investment at think-tank and lobbying organisation London Councils. She joined the NFA in 2007 as policy manager covering areas such as welfare reform, ALMO new build and self-financing. She is now policy director for the NFA, working with members, government officials and wider housing stakeholders to develop NFA policy and support the ALMO movement.

    Communications, press and relationship manager

    Joanne has worked as a senior policy and practice officer at the Chartered Institute of Housing since 2006. Joanne has taken the lead on a number of areas including anti-social behaviour, repairs, tenancy fraud, customer insight and value for money. Between 2010 and 2012, Joanne was responsible for managing a team of national ASB advisors, which was funded by and delivered in direct partnership with the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG). Joanne has worked closely with a number of government departments and agency advisory groups, including DCLG and the Home Office and has authored a wide range of policy and practice publications published by the Chartered Institute of Housing, DCLG and the Home Office.

    Prior to joining the Chartered Institute of Housing, Joanne had built up extensive experience of working within the social housing sector in both local authority and housing association environments.

    NFA Policy, Communications and Research Officer

    Lisa has worked in social housing and care services since 2010 in research, policy and bid roles. She has always been driven by supporting organisations to deliver better outcomes for residents through the provision of effective analysis, research and insight. Prior to this, she lived for a time in Moscow, teaching English as a foreign language; and completed a Masters degree in Russian and East European studies.

    Lisa is a member of the Market Research Society, having achieved her Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research in 2016.

    NFA Business Support Officer

    Alli provides the NFA with full administrative support carrying out varied tasks and pieces of work. Assisting in meeting organisation, event planning, website administration and social media. Alli loves a well organised database and has a passion to help others jobs become easier.

    Originally from a catering sector background, Alli completed a national diploma in Hotel & Catering Management. Alli managed several catering units for a large contract caterer. Alli previously worked for the CIH events team organising conferences, seminars, day courses and workshops. Since 2004, Alli managed a large Childrens centre office and provided PA support to the Childrens Director.
    She returned to the housing sector for the NFA in early 2015.
